Photographs
Photography has been a big part of much of my life.
I got a darkroom kit after promising my parents that I would do it forever and
then fairly promptly didn't do much of it for a number of years. Instead,
I used an Argus C3 camera to shoot slides and color photos.
I got back into photography in a big way and set up a
black and white and color darkroom where I did about every type of photography
except Cibachrome. It was a joy to shoot light onto a paper and then watch
it appear in the developer or shoot the paper and put it into a color drum and
then watch the results come out as a beautiful color page. Then I got a
computer.
For a number of years all my work was with text and
there was nothing regarding photography. Then, in about 2000 I got a Kodak
digital camera. I loved the technology; the fact that you could see your
pictures immediately and also that the more pictures you took, the cheaper it
became. The first picture was about $500.00, the 10,000th, about $.05.
My photography is a work in progress and can and will
certainly improve with time. But it is a fun and most satisfying journey.
I've had a few pictures on this website, but I don't
think it has much room for many. Then I found out about Picasa Web Albums.
Picasa Web Albums provides a website that allows any
user to upload photographs up to 1 gigabyte (nearly 4000 photos) for no charge.
If that is not enough, you can pay $25 per year for 7 gigabytes, $100 per year
for 26 gigabytes up to $500 per year for 251 gigabytes.
Here is the link to my Picasa website. Please enjoy:
